As a senior designer at Gradient I had the opportunity to design an experience for Rare Beauty in celebration of their latest product launch, Eau De Parfum.

Our goal was to create excitement and engage all senses to build lasting memories around Rare Beauty’s first fragrance with an experience that felt cinematic, emotional, and built for social.

Our solution was an immersive journey through scent, memory, and emotion; an IRL interpretation of the Rare Memories campaign. We took over the historic Santa Monica Post Office to create an unforgettable night that suited the refined elegance of the Rare Beauty brand. Each space transformed visuals into a tangible guest experience that amplified Rare’s message of self-love and authenticity.

Packed with interactive elements, the experience included a sculptural entrance tunnel, a glam-bot with real time video casting, a Sephora hidden speakeasy, a glowing centerpiece product display, a chandelier made out of product factices, digital video walls, and much more.
